"Medical management "

About: St Mary's Hospital

The day itself was horrible as I was there having a medical management miscarriage.

However, the nurse who cared for me (and I'm so annoyed I can't remember her name) was absolutely brilliant.

By the time I'd come to the ward, I'd been experiencing years of fertility problems and miscarriages. This particular nurse was so lovely, listened to me and was genuinely sympathetic, gave me a huge hug which I so needed and even helped me to chase up another department within the hospital that I needed to see for further tests and had been waiting for for months.

This was over a year ago now and it still sticks with me as nicest (despite the obvious!) experience of medical care I've ever had.

I wish so much I could remember her name so I could thank her again and let her know that after many years trying, we now finally have a little boy and that her genuine sympathy and care stuck with me since that day.

Thank you ward 62 and whoever you are mystery nurse ☺️

Thank you for your positive comments posted on the NHS website regarding your care on Ward 62 as part of the Gynaecology Services at Saint Mary’s Hospital and please accept our apologies for the delay in responding to you

It was very kind of you to take the time to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff.

The Trust has introduced a behavioural framework within which all members of the nursing and medical teams’ practice, so it was reassuring to read that you found all the staff caring and that your experience has been a positive one. I can assure you that we have passed on your feedback to Dr Rohna Kearney, Clinical Head of Division for Gynaecology, Ms Emily Hoyle Divisional Director for Gynaecology and Mrs Cath Bartlett, Head of Nursing who will be delighted to share your feedback with the staff.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on the birth of your son and wish you well for the future.

Karen Connolly

Chief Executive Officer

Saint Mary’s Hospital Managed Clinical Services.
