My almost 2 year old daughter attended at ward 1A/B recently in order to under go a rheumatology procedure under general anaesthetic.
First impressions of the ward was fantastic, clean and tidy with a festive atmosphere.
All of the doctors, nurses and health care staff were fantastic throughout our stay. My daughter was provided with various items to entertain her, books, colouring pens etc.
Everything was explained to us thoroughly and staff were happy to answer any questions we had.
Upon completion of the procedure, as expected my daughter was quite upset whilst within the recovery ward, once again the staff were brilliant, offering plenty of things to distract her and plenty of treats such as ice cream and ice lollies.
We would like to offer our thanks to all of the staff at RHC for making a daunting day, much more bearable, and at times we even forgot we were within a hospital environment.
"A daunting day made more bearable."
