Twice last week I had to call the gp and on the first occasion it took me 3hours to even get in the queue for the photo be answered. I was then told to call back at 2 pm I explain it had taken me from 8.30 to get this far. I then received a text from the gp requesting info I tried from 8.30-2.30 and it remained engaged all day, the service unfortunately has gone massively down hill

We are sorry to hear that you have found it difficult to get through to the surgery.

A new phone system has been installed with unlimited incoming lines which should improve phone access and which should not provide an engaged tone.

You will appreciate that we are an extremely busy surgery and have in response to the ever increasing patient demand recruited additional GPs, Locum GPs and reception staff to meet the demand.
