"Removal of a granular growth from my leg"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I attended Stirling Community Hospital as an outpatient to see Dr Wong and get his opinion on a growth on my leg.

It transpired to be a granular growth caused by a previous trauma to my leg.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was told they could fit me in to have it removed the same day, especially as my appointment was in the afternoon.

I had a brief wait before being taken to curettage and cautery to have the procedure.

This was performed by David and Angela who were both very professional. David is a really funny guy which helped me to relax, whilst explaining exactly what was going to happen, both during and after the procedure.

The procedure was carried out swiftly and relatively painlessly.

I would like to thank all the staff for the great job they are doing and a special thank you to David and Angela.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely detailed review.

It is great that the "one stop" clinic format seems to have worked for you. We try to stop any undue additions to an ever elongating waiting list by carrying the procedure out there and then when possible.

I have shared your praise with Angela and she seems to be walking a bit taller:)

Hopefully everything is healing well and you didn't find it too uncomfortable after the anaesthetic wore off.

Thanks again

David
