"A brilliant team who are a credit to Ninewells"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I was admitted to Ward 38 North with terrible morning sickness, I had gotten to the stage where I was unable to keep even sips of water down and was feeling horrendous. I have a 10 month old baby at home so was feeling anxious about being away from him and I wasn’t looking forward to my time in hospital. However, upon arrival to the ward I instantly felt better, the staff made me feel welcome and I felt so much more comfortable than I could have imagined. I was given a side room so that I could have a bit more privacy which I really appreciated. Every single member of staff who I had contact with was absolutely amazing, I really appreciated the little chats they’d have with me when they came into my room and their attitude towards providing brilliant care which was second to none. I just wanted to thank everybody as I am now back home with my partner and my little one and feeling so much better.

Dear L2304, thank you so much for letting us know about your experience within ward 38 north. I am sorry to hear that you were feeling so bad with pregnancy related sickness and hope that now you are feeling better this continues. It is lovely to hear that at a time when you were separated from your other child this was made a bit easier through the compassionate care on the ward. I will make sure your lovely feedback is shared with the team.

Many thanks again and take care

Lesley
