"MS Diagnosis"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Neurology

(as a service user),

I was made to feel like my life was doomed because of a ms diagnosis and now I am afraid to go back as my symptoms were not listened to. I felt  categorised and made to feel absolutely terrible. I have seen two different Drs and both had the same attitude

Dear Joneya,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us. I was very sorry to read that you have been left with a sense of doom following your MS diagnosis and that your symptoms were not listened to by our staff - this is not the level of care we expect any of our patients to receive.

If you would like to, you can contact our Patient and Family Experience (Complaints) team to discuss your concerns further and they ensure your points are thoroughly investigated, I have included our details below. In the meantime, I will share your story with the team who oversee the service you are referring to so that they can reflect on your experience and make changes where possible.

Patient and Family Experience Team contact details:

Tel: 01872 252793 Email: rcht.patientexperience@nhs.net

Thank you again for taking the time to share your story with us.

Best wishes,

Jess
