"My hospital stay"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency University Hospital Ayr / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU) University Hospital Ayr / Urology

(as a service user),

I arrived at Ayr hospital on Monday 30th November I went in to A& E. I was welcomed by a lovely nurse who I found was absolutely fantastic, made me feel very at ease and generally cared about how I was feeling. The doctor was lovely as well and the whole team in that area they really listened and helped with whatever they could I was happy that I had seen them or else I would not know what was actually wrong.

I was then moved to CAU but I didn't have the best experience in that part of the hospital I didn't catch any names of the nurses through the night as they didn't really bother with me at all and really didn't seem interested. In the morning I was then moved round to an assessment area as I was waiting for the scan the staff in that area were lovely also but again didn't catch any names. I was then moved up to station 4 where 3 nurses looked after me and they were absolutely lovely they couldn't do enough to help.

Dear st7897

Thank you for the lovely feedback which I know the staff involved will appreciate very much. Im sorry that your experience in CAU was not as positive - Ill ensure the staff in that area see your feedback and use it to reflect.

I hope you are making a good recovery following your hospital stay.

Best Wishes
