"I haven't heard from anyone"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Craigavon Area Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

Yesterday at A&E I met the first doctor I have spoken to face to face to in over a year, very human, also shocked and angry about how I have been treated when he looked at my records.

Unfortunately, it won't change anything for me it's simply too late. I have several lifelong chronic conditions and felt it would be safer if I cancelled my carers due to covid in March. I literally haven't heard from anyone since. I have lost so much weight without their help and have had a few bad falls - I was paralysed from the waist down after an operation nearly two years ago. I have had kidney problems for nearly 10 years, with on average one infection every month, some now lasting for up to 2 months...   I rang about seeing my consultant only to find I have been discharged from urology for some unknown reason. I am sure the consultant doesn't know about the oversight as the last time we spoke after the operation and a very painful 8 years, they were going to lay out my options and give me diagnoses at our next appointment.

My GP doesn't actually see people anymore and the odds of even getting through to the reception is about 1: 100 provided to ring constantly between 8. 30-9. 00 every day for a week. The last time I got through I asked if I was on the list for the flu jab and I am not.  I can't take any more. Because I have no carers I now have no social worker, OT, Physio/rehab or GP. I have an FND and can hardly tie my shoelaces and in am so much debt because I am unable to any type of work. I have run out options and frankly lost the will to live.   After two years stuck at home, I don't think I could leave my house if it was on fire. I tried praxis and primary mental health services both said they didn't know about FNDS and could not help me. No doubt I will be just a statistic of Covid, just thought I would put it down so it might help someone else.
