It was our privilege to attend the above clinic yesterday and I felt I had to write on behalf of my husband who suffers from iNPH. The atmosphere in the building on arrival was one that took away all our worries. We were greeted at the clinic by one of the team who remained with us throughout advising us of where we might get refreshments should we wish. We were then introduced to the consultant, who immediately made us feel at ease with his wonderfully caring manner. He recognized my husband’s problems immediately, spending time watching difficulties my husband is having with all movements. He and his team are outstanding and it is clear for all to see that they are truly dedicated and work together as one supporting and enhancing treatment. I really felt that my husband was truly cared for, and the whole experience was above and beyond our expectations. True to his word, the consultant organized for a lumbar puncture to be carried out next Tuesday at James Cook, even quicker than we expected! My thanks seem inadequate to let them know how the experience helped us, except to say it made our day perfect. We have waited for such a long time to have someone help us. Please can you pass on our thanks to them all for us? The hospital has an exceptional team in this group of people and I know that other patients will be just as pleased with their experiences of this centre.
