"One life saved "

About: Leighton Hospital

I was brought by ambulance on March 16th and taken straight to resus . I was quickly diagnosed with acute kidney injury stage 3 and needed haemofiltration in critical care . I was then diagnosed with strep a igas an invasive infection .I spent a week on critical care and then went to the wards I developed pneumonia and empyema and In total I was in hospital for 4 weeks . The care I received was excellent and all in a time at the start of the pandemic .

I was most certainly close to death when I arrived in a and e but thanks to your wonderful staff I was able to return to my family .

Many thanks to all involved with my care .
