My friend's husband had died unexpectedly. I'd just decided to ring her out of the blue and the first thing she told me was about her husband's unexpected death. I was so pleased that I had rung her and that she was able to talk to me about it.
As I was totally unprepared as to what to say or do for my friend to help her I rang you and received some good advice over the phone and also some leaflets via email. These proved really helpful and guided me as to what would be good to say and do for my friend. Even though her husband was nearly 89 I don't think we are ever prepared for a death. It was good to be able to talk to someone who listened and then gave good advice.
(I'm going to keep the leaflets and I'm sure that they will always be useful.)
