"Wanting urgent help"

About: Castlecroft Medical Practice

I suffer from recurrent urinary tract infections. I awoke today with a full picture of infection - burning on micturition, lower abdominal pain, frequency of micturition, foul smelling urine. I rang the surgery to plan management. I was told very firmly that absolutely no telephone consultation could take place and to ring again tomorrow. I explained that bladder infections are very nasty and was told to go to the chemist, A&E or dial NHS Direct - how is that going to help a 75 year old during a Viral Pandemic? I was told nothing could be done by the Surgery. Does it have to be like this?

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you were not satisfied with the service that you received. We cannot deal with clinical issues here. Please call the surgery.
