In March 2020 I was attending physio and occupational therapy on A floor South Tyrone Hospital, the care I received from Kieran and Margaret etc was amazing. If you went in feeling down you were guaranteed to leave feeling so much better, and of course the wee cup of tea helped!
Then came lockdown and A floor was redeployed for testing and all classes stopped. Meanwhile I was given my final diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease, as a 66 year old previously very fit woman this came as a tremendous shock. Where do I turn to now? Then out of the blue I got a call from Eileen in the physio department South Tyrone, who visited me at home and arranged for Jayne (physio) to call with me on a regular basis. Jayne was exceptional she always arrived with a smile on her face and gave me lots of encouragement. Also Colette who made hand splints which I am still using.I cannot thank all these wonderful people who made such a difference in my life, I will never forget your kindness.
