In November 2020, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in the midwife led unit with only the use of gas and air and a TENS machine. I would like to point out how wonderful an experience this was for my partner and I which was only made possible by all of the fantastic midwifes at the RAH MLU in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
I feel very lucky to have been able to birth my baby in the birthing pool and with the help of these wonderful, caring and knowledgeable NHS staff. The job they do, is simply outstanding and I never once felt like I wasn't being looked after. Each one of the staff left a positive mark on me and all of them added something to my experience. Their enthusiasm for their work and the interest they take in their patients is simply remarkable. despite dealing with lots of different ladies, I felt like an individual at all times and not just a number which was a real pleasure for me.
I'd like to use this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful staff at the RAH MLU for making my birthing experience such a positive one!
