"Care on the ward"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

Ward 101 at the Royal Stoke. I fully understand and totally appreciate the work provided by the Nurses and staff, especially in this present difficult climate but certain staff members can be so unhelpful and have treated my family member as if she is a complete nuisance and displaying that they don't care whatsoever.

Why enter into a caring profession if the 'care' element is missing. People who are ill are very frightened and feel extremely vulnerable. This should be made easier by members of staff who are experienced in this type of care, not making the patients feel embarrassed and as if they shouldn't even be in the hospital.   It only makes it worse that family members cannot visit relates, so our faith and trust of our loved ones is being put in the hands of the professional nurses and carers.
