"Helpful and friendly service "

About: Gravesham Community Hospital

Visited today as worried about an injury from the weekend ,which had been getting worse .Been here before when I broke my ankle ,profession friendly caring staff who sorted me out and put my mind at rest .The additional advice given by the physio therapist they now have helping them was great means I can start the exercises without waiting for a follow up appointment .One thing puzzled me though why did 111 not know about them ? Would have sent me on a wasted journey to DVH .

Hello, thank you for taking the time to tell us that our staff were able put your mind at rest when you attended the unit following an injury at the weekend. We are pleased to hear that you have been given exercises to undertake to help with your recovery. We will pass your review onto the clinical lead of the minor injuries unit for sharing with staff. We are sorry that we cannot comment on as to the reason why the 111 service did not direct you to attend the minor injuries unit. As we do not have details about your injury we are unable to follow-up this us with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. If you would like us to look into this, please get in touch with us via one of the methods shown below, so we can obtain some information to be able to take this forward. Best wishes Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust Tel: 0300 123 1807 Email: kentchft.PALS@nhs.net Website: www.kentcht.nhs.uk
