"Excellent care I received"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 7)

(as the patient),

I was referred to hospital for tests after being positive for covid and I wasn't getting better. The care I received from the nurse in the ward just off a and e was absolutely amazing. I was there yesterday, 25 November, her name was Sarah, sorry don't have a surname. From the moment I went in until she finished her shift she was friendly, reassuring and the best at taking bloods, I'm not good at getting bloods taken. The department was very busy however you would never have known it. Please pass on my thanks Sarah is an absolute star and a real credit to the hospital. Thank you again

Dear SWCarluke,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your experience of visiting the Respiratory Assessment Unit.

Sarah was the registered nurse allocated to work here and I am sure she will be delighted to read your feedback.

You are right this was an extremely challenging day and very busy and Sarah and the team worked very hard to care for the patients.

I will ensure this feedback is given to her personally and once again thank you for your kind feedback.

I hope you are feeling better and recovering well.

Best wishes

Andy
