"WARD Staff “A Credit To The NHS”"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Diabetes care (Ward 10) University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My wonderful wee mum was an emergency admission with Covid19 via A&E.

The consultant spoke to me and stated he would have to admit her and I did the correct thing in calling 999. I said she has a good quality of life so please do everything you can for her.
She was placed in ward 10 in the University Hospital Hairmyres.
She was very frightened and due to Covid 19 she was not allowed any visitors.
She was breathless and anxious upon admission.

Thanks for posting this. I appreciate what a difficult time it is for patients and their relatives and the Hairmyres team work really hard to reassure patients and allow them to communicate with their friends and relatives despite our necessary visiting restrictions. I hope that your mum is feeling better and gets well soon.
