"Told to go home"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Dept of Scheduled Admissions

(as the patient),

I have waited from 9am to 3pm  today for my surgery and the have been told to go home. I have been fasting from last night and had nothing to eat or drink all day just sat in a chair for all those hrs waiting.

This scheduled operation is a follow up operation from one taken place in Sept 2018 and then again in Aug 2019, I was supposed to have my operation before March 2020 and they forgot all about me. I presumed I'd not heard anything due to covid but they admitted to me there had been a cock up.

My operation was scheduled for today in the DOSA Department of Scheduled Admission and like I said been sat all day then just sent home with no explanation.
