when I first started my counselling sessions I was feeling really low. I was recommended to start counselling by the Seamoor Unit.
Speaking with Sophie has encouraged me to look at parts of my life that I had boxed away. Having faced these thoughts I am trying to move forward from them, which in the main has worked.
having been isolated with lockdown just after my diagnosis there were times when I felt as if I was in a wilderness. Sophie has assisted me in dealing with this and has given me suggestions on how to deal with these matters.
My sessions with Sophie have now concluded and at times I almost feel panic that these sessions have come o an end. Especially with lock down again.
Sophie has suggested the next time I speak with someone from the Hospice I ask for what assistance they may be able to provide in joining me with some classes they may be running.
I am very grateful to the assistance and help I have received through the counselling sessions.
