"Wait for a blood test "

I had a replacement knee operation in thus year , while I can highly recommend the consultant the after care was not great (poor pain management , left during the night with pain control even though I press emergency button a number of times) . Moving on from the actual Operations my knee was very hot to touch after around 8 weeks and during a physio session (again the lady conducting this was very good) I was advised to see my consultant as she was not happy and was worried my knee may have an infection , saw my consultant and he advised me to have a blood test completed asap, normally this would take no time to organise (NHS have walk ins at Guys and Thomas's 5 days a week !) but to my surprise I was told I would have to wait a week as they has no slots available and this is a private hospital ! I tried again to get this brought forward but the people I spoke with appeared to have very little interest in helping me and would not reschedule . As I said this place has some good aspects to it but you are only as good as your weakest link and sadly this place has some very weak care aspects .
