"Ectopic pregnancy"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

So I found our I was pregnant but was bleeding so I went to the hospital to get checked out.

They checked me over on women 1B  and said I didnt seem to be in any emergency so sent me home and to wait for a scan but kept a eye on me with blood test every 2 days .

So on Thursday I went for my scan in the early pregnancy unit they was ever so kind when I was having my scan they was very through and checked everywhere. They did find something on my right side that they couldn't rule out. So that was the scan over with. Then after that the lady rushed me up to women 1B where is was there that they looked at my scan and checked me over to realise its suspected ectopic pregnancy.

By 7.30pm that evening I was heading down for surgery and was back on the ward I think around 10pm to 11pm and it was in fact ectopic pregnancy on my right side so they removed my right tube and the ectopic pregnancy. Every one was so nice caring and thoughtful, my nurse was brilliant she took really good care of me and made sure I was doing ok.

The people who did my surgery they was brilliant too, they knew I was scared as never had surgery before and they made me feel safe and reassured everything was going to be ok.

I would love to say a massive thank you to all who was involved in my care the nurses  and doctors on women 1B the surgeon and his team for excellent surgery. And also the cleaning staff and all the other staff that I was in contact with thank you all so much.
