"Bad practice"

About: Highcroft Surgery

I have been at this practice for many years and apart from the odd problems have always been quite satisfied.I realise the problems everyone is experiencing at the moment but surely you should still be able to get medical help when needed.I was told last week that a doctor would call me I waited two days I eventually got my call at 20.15 was offered an appointment on Fri 20th Nov I got some cream for my problem used cream for two days but it started to irritate my skin tried E-consult which after asking the questions tod me I need to get help soon as I take medicines that affect my immune system.Rang the surgery today was told to use E-consult told receptionist I had already done this was then told to call back tomorrow to see if I could be offered a phone appointment. What is the point of E-consult when you are told to call your surgery to get a urgent appointment to be told you cannot get one.

Still think the nurses are wonderful.

Dear Mrs Toplis, thank you for your feedback regarding the e-consult service. The safety feature of asking the patient to call the Practice is built in to ensure patients receive the right care within a safe timeframe. I note that you have now managed to speak to a GP, but if you have any urgent concerns in the future, please do call us.

And I think our nurses are wonderful too! I will pass your comments on to them.
