"Ankle surgery"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

In November 2020 I was admitted as a day surgery patient to QMH Dunfermline. My experience was identical to my previous two visits for surgery. From start to finish the staff were nothing short of stars. From the nursing team, to the consultant surgeon and aneathetist team, everyone was friendly, approachable and only too willing to spend time with me and calm my fears.

The NHS staff really are the jewels in the crown, sadly I feel that they are underpaid and really wish the government would address this issue.

I could ramble on for pages at the excellence of the team at QMH, but suffice to say, care, treatment and after care doesn't get any better.

Thank you to all of those that were involved.

Dear Tom McG

Thank you for taking time to post about your recent experience in Day Surgery, I am delighted to see you had a positive experience and that it was identical to your last 2 visits and that you found staff to be friendly and approachable. It can be very daunting coming in for surgery regardless the number of times you have experienced it but I'm happy to see the staff were able to alleviate some of this for you..

I will pass on your lovely comments to all of our team involved. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Kind regards

Mandy
