About: Morthen Road Group Practice

Reception staff are extremely rude uncaring and unprofessional. They are patronising and it’s questionable whether they follow any set guidelines when triaging. They bring their own opinions into the triage and when you need medical assistance most, instead of assisting you, try to block your needs. They all need retraining paying a massive emphasis on ‘Duty Of Care’ as they fail miserably. They ignore warning signals of mental health issues and fail to pass vital information through to GP’s. When they eventually acknowledge your mental health issues, they tell you their specialised team will be in touch, but you still receive no further contact. (For people who have no additional support from family, this could very easily lead to unnecessary suicide). A straight forward electronic referral seems a task too great. Endless phone calls and unnecessary visits are all part and parcel of attempting to receive justifiable care once GP contact is made. (All this at times when we should be avoiding a visit to a surgery). These inadequacies if not corrected will cost patients their lives or at the very least deteriorated health.

I am sorry you are experiencing problems with our receptionists, If you would like to contact the surgery with your details this probelm can be looked into.
