"I can't get a straight answer by phone or email"

I've been with this surgery for 18 years and was suddenly told I needed a doctors appointment for an asthma review. Told I had to visit and have a blood test, no meat for 12 hours and drink loads of water etc etc and when I rang to ask why... no one could answer and I spoke to two different people, told to hold on then held on for 30 minutes then cut off?!? I emailed and asked why I needed this for an asthma review and have never received an answer but they cancelled my asthma review so I can't get my inhalers???? I'm too old to play games so I'm looking for a new doctor..... this is just too weird... anyone would think they wanted rid of us old people.
