"My experience of early intervention"

About: Community Mental Health Teams / Early intervention in psychosis service (EIP) (Limbrick)

(as a service user),

They are great when they remember about you. Then the months in between contact and appointments let it down. They were off the ball and it felt like I was being forgotten about because I wasn’t acting up all the time. And the amount of appointments they just didn’t show up for was ridiculous. Overall I feel that it was a waste of my time and the NHS budget. They say they want to help, but in my opinion how they treat you is very counter productive to your recovery. Overall I’ve felt messed about, let down and confused. Hopefully I’m the only one who’s felt this way. I’d like to think when they were ignoring and forgetting to contact me they where giving someone else the care I’d hoped for.
