"A very sharp nurse"

About: Russells Hall Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Came in in severe pain, after advice from GP.   was seen very rapidly and was told by a very sharp nurse that I had Covid and need to go home. I had to relay twice what my symptoms were before this nurse took notice and agreed it was not Covid - I felt like they just wanted me out of the way and one less patient to deal with.

 A lovely nurse then did all my tests, could see the pain I was in, and gave me IV morphine and other meds, The pain was still crippling and I was now very drowsy and sweaty and felt like a heart attack was imminent as I was unable to breathe without excruciating pain. I went to be sick holding onto the walls for stability, after I was sick the nurse that cared for me said I wasnt well at all and needed to sit down.

With that, the first nurse abruptly came into the toilet and shouted you're going home there's no room at the Inn..! ! ! I could hardly walk, and was in agony, morphine still in my system that was working and not able to focus I just wanted to get out of there. After being given my marching orders, I walked through the ambulance park using the cars for balance, and a family member saw me and stopped the car. I am now at home in agony, with no medication for the pain, and no further forward as to what is causing it.

I feel that all the TV campaign telling us the NHS is there for other treatments as well as Covid wasn't true for me. And as much as some NHS staff are diamonds, there are certainly others that have lost the meaning of how to care.
