phoned 111 as could not get my GP to see me.Was contacted by 111 GP with their's within 10 mins who arranged for non emergency ambulance, to make an assessment, within a few minutes that arrived with 2 lovely women who were kind and caring. They deemed I should be taken in A&E which they did and left me in the care of staff there. All wonderful and I had a host of tests= blood/ECG/X ray/oxygen levels etc and was there many hours and when considered OK to go home I was given prescriptions and advised to return immediately if I felt unwell. I had dreaded being taken in with this crises and I am aware from media and by seeing whilst there how busy they were, but I was given everything and every attention required. My GP had being prescribing, by telephone consultation, anti allergy pills and a nasal spray, they left me barely able to breathe. I was diagnosed by A&E staff with severe chest infection and given penicillin, antibiotics, 2 asthma sprays, prescription. I feel without their intervention, this 72 year old woman, had the potential to have been seriously ill or dead within a few more days. Thank you all for being there for me and being so caring and kind.
"thank you"
