I received an appointment to attend Mr Mackil's Department in November 2020.
Due to me being a Sole Carer for my husband who suffers from Vascular Dementia since the age of 45 and is now 61 he is very vulnerable. I phoned and asked his Secretary if it would be at all possible for me to have a telephone appointment.
This was no trouble at all and Mr Mackil phoned me on the day of the appointment at home.
I can't thank Mr Mackil enough as it took a lot of pressure and worry off me. It meant I did not have the added stress of driving to Newry and having to arrange for someone to stay with my husband.
Mr Mackil was very informative and re-assuring during our telephone appointment and I felt someone cared about me as a person under these very stressful and difficult times we live in.
"Informative and reassuring telephone appointment"
