"Mobile Theatre Eye Operation"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I had an operation in March to tighten the muscles in my eye, this was done in a mobile theatre in the car park at Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride, I think this was due to the amount of backlog patients awaiting surgery (day patients)When I walked in I was greeted by one of a few nurses, there was only about 6 patients in the place, I have to say it was one of the best experiences I've had re operations, the atmosphere was warm and made me feel so comforable, the nurses as normal were fantastic at putting all at ease, the consultants came to us to talk over procedures, the operation was great and I was able to go home soon after, I felt I had to report my "happy"time there, A huge thank you to all who made us all comforable and at ease and....fixing us

Dear couragene79,

Thanks for taking the time to recognise the professionalism of my colleagues. We recognise that people are often anxious when attending for a procedure and the staff work really hard to provide clear information and help allay any fears or anxieties people may have; it sounds like you've had a positive outcome as well.

It will be my pleasure to share your positive feedback and kind words with all the staff, it will be well received and mean a lot to them.

Kind regards

Rick
