I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis over 20 yrs ago.
I have been ill on and off with this condition good days and bad. I have been in receipt of invalidity benefit and DLA for many years now. I have on occasions been assessed by the high doctor.
As the years have gone by my condition has deteriorated in most of my joints, I have had to move homes twice in the last 5 years as I was falling and endangering myself. Last year my knee gave way and I toppled down 15 stone steps backwards. From that I have deteriorated more.
I was sent to go to an assessment in February 2012. I was in with the doctor who by the way was a forensic medical expert. It took this woman all of 20 minutes to tell I was fit for work.
I was gobsmacked as I showed her a letter to an appointment for an MRI scan the same day. My question is can this be legal, to assess someone in that short time and should an MRI scan be ignored?
