"Disgraceful "

About: Community Services / Leighton Buzzard CMHT

I have been under Crombie House for over a year and can honestly say the service is disgraceful.

I was diagnosed with bipolar and Bpd in 2019.

I have had numerous appointments and telephone consultations and find whilst the psychiatrist I see is very good it's getting an appointment that is a nightmare. The telephone consultations are a joke, you're given a date and time but never actually called at the time. This leads to me chasing constantly until I eventually receive a call from my psychiatrist. I was due one in April but never got a call at all and I gave up chasing as I couldn't handle it mentally.

When you're in a crisis it's a nightmare as the crisis team can't actually do anything other than talk to you which doesn't help at all.

It feels like you're constantly battling for yourself and hitting brick walls which is not what you need when you have mental health conditions, it simply makes matters worse.

Needs a serious shake up and better management procedures in place to actually help their patients rather than aggravate them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

All feedback, positive and negative, is vital in helping us improve how we provide care.

We would encourage you to contact the service direct and speak with the manager, who has been forwarded a copy of your comments, to discuss this further.

We also provide a Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team who can help sort out any problems or issues you may have with the service.

PALS is a confidential service and can be contacted on Freephone 0800 0131 223 or email: elft.palsbedsandluton@nhs.net

Thank you.
