"Almost impossible to get an appointment"

Getting an appointment here is almost impossible. Frankly its so hard that I deliberately put off contacting my GP for an appointment unless I absolutely need one. Just getting through to reception is difficult enough, and even more demoralising when you are told there's no appointments left... when calling at 8:30 in the morning! What worries me the most is that the current setup would deter me from calling to get any concerns checked over (lumps, bumps, things that are likely to be nothing but could be serious).

To be clear, I have no issue with the GP's themselves who are all really good. We also have young children and the nurses were absolutely fantastic with them in giving them their vaccines. Its just such a shame that its so difficult to get an appointment!
