Got an appointment letter from the eye unit for my glaucoma check up and it said not to drive as I would be having drops in my eyes which is what had usually happened over the last few years I had been attending. A couple of days before my appointment I had a phone call from Bolton to check I was not showing any signs of having COVID and telling me I would be having drops and not to drive and I was also told to come on my own. My husband finished work early as he has a long drive home which meant he lost half a days pay which of course is always fine as my eyes are more important. I arrived at the hospital to get told within minutes I wouldn’t be having drops as they wanted me out the hospital as quick as possible!! I only got the appointment letter a few weeks ago but the phone call was three days before my appointment. Is there no communication going on why was I told not to drive? I could have drove myself instead of my husband rushing home to take me for no reason at all.
