"Poor communication with family "

About: Fairfield General Hospital

My father was admitted onto ward 7 last friday after a suspected bleed on the brain. He has become very confused and suffering with his memory. My mum spoke to the doctor on Friday and has continued to phone the ward several times each day with very little information and update. My dad actually left the ward on Saturday and attempted to make his way home when I found him. The ward contacted us 25mins after him leaving. Very confused and vulnerable. My mum has not spoken to a medic since Friday. Very poor communication from staff on ward 7 and 8. Continue to be uncertain of his diagnosis and care while in hospital. Unable to access the bathroom and patients having to use bed pans and bottles due to restrictions.
