Although transferred to a major trauma centre on 4/11, the support and care I received from the ambulance crew, the ED team at Torbay and, finally, those on Ainslie ward was top class - professional, but also very caring.
My surgery has now happened and my recovery is underway. It will take time, probably a lot of time - but the Torbay team laid good foundations.
