"Appalling Practice"

I'll try to be brief.

The admin/reception staff are fine and helpful and the following is no reflection on them.

However, since my wife (who is very unwell with multiple conditions) registered here there has been no end of difficulty.

She has had many difficulties here and these are just the problems she has had recently.

My wife received a call from the practice asking her to see a Doctor and an appointment was made. A couple of days later, she received another call cancelling and remaking the appointment. All in all this appointment was made and cancelled three times by the practice. Eventually she was told that the Doctor would ring her and she was given a specific time. Again this was cancelled and rearranged. To date this call has not been made.

Even worse than this, and a potential risk to my wife's health was the cancellation of an appointment for her regular B12 injection. This was originally for 18th February. The appointment was remade for 17th March. A full month later!! By this time my wife will be on her knees. Obviously this is totally unacceptable.

My wife has found most of the clinical staff (with one outstanding exception) to, at the least, be lacking empathy, at worst being offhand and making her feel like she is an inconvenience.

We were prepared to give this practice the benefit of the doubt, but the cancellation of the B12 appointment is the final straw. She is now moving practice (at great personal stress) and I hope, for her sake, the new practice doesn't treat their patients in such an offhand and cavalier manner.

If anyone is considering registering here, please think hard before you do. It's difficult to get an appointment and the medical care in my experience is poor. As I said there is one lady doctor who works part time here who shines like a clean plate in a sink of dirty dishes, but making an appointment with her is almost impossible.
