"It was so kind of her to accommodate me"

About: North Manchester General Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

This was my first visit to this hospital. I was nervous as I had to bring my 4 month old baby with me because she is exclusively breastfed, and due to Covid restrictions I couldn't bring anybody to see to her during the appointment.

In the waiting room I was feeding baby and a lady called Dawn called me through early into an empty room so that I could feed baby in private. I wasn't expecting this and it was really thoughtful.

I had put baby on a mat I'd brought with me on the floor for my ECG, but Dawn brought in a lady who was a support worker so that she could hold and play with baby for the procedure. I can't remember this support worker's name, but it was so kind of her to take time out from her busy day to accommodate me having my baby with me for the appointment.

These two members of staff made me feel welcome and that it was no trouble having my baby with me. They are a credit to the hospital and have made me feel confident to go again.
