"left with a happy girl"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Took my daughter for a dental x-ray. My daughter is autistic with very high levels of anxiety, at the dentist we couldn't even get her in the chair and there was no way x-rays could be done ,hence why we were referred to QEQM hospital. A lady called Alex with red curly hair came in and was so lovely with my daughter, she was calm, didn't try to rush her at all and made her feel at ease, it took some time but eventually got the x-ray that was needed, my daughter hasn't stopped talking about the x-ray lady, she was just wonderful and made such a difference, I left with a happy girl rather than a distressed scared anxious one.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience when attending the x-ray department with your daughter who required a dental x-ray. We are very pleased to read that the staff member looking after your daughter spent the time making her feel at ease without rushing and causing any distress. Please be assured that your kind comments will be shared with the x-ray department and staff member concerned.
