My eyesight has gone down so much that I would have to leave my home if it was not put right. After all the consultations and the COVID-19 tests was told to attend for surgery at 7:30am yesterday. I was not only treated with dignity and respect I also had a good laugh with the staff. Little did they know I was terrified of them cutting into my eye and would rather lose a limb. Well, they made me feel confortable and before I knew it I was sedated and operated on and left the hospital around 12 the same day. The staff were all amazing and the sight in my right eye appears to be slow in coming back but seems to get better by the hour. I need the same operation on my other eye in weeks to come but am no longer frightened. Thank you to all the staff at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
