I have been working from home since March due to Covid and found myself a couple of months ago suffering from anxiety. I have never experienced anxiety before and I was really frightened because I just didn't understand what was happening to me. I tried to deal with this issue myself but eventually called my GP to ask for some help. I completed a "Depression/Anxiety" questionnaire which resulted in me being identified as having mild anxiety. I was then referred to OH (Sara) who works from the doctor's surgery in Holytown. Sara called me and we had a great discussion about how I was feeling, why did I think I was feeling the way I was and how she could help. Sara offered really beneficial advice and sent me literature to read to help me understand what was happening. We continued our calls for a few consecutive weeks and then as I felt I was feeling better we then reduced our calls to fortnightly. The support which Sara gave me was been second to none. She has a very comforting voice, is extremely knowledgeable and very approachable. Today I felt confident to no longer needing to speak to Sara but she reassured me (as always) that if I needed to speak to her, I just had to call the surgery and they would put me in contact with her. Overall the service which Sara provided was invaluable.
