"Switchboard"

About: Crosshouse Hospital

(as a service user),

On Monday evening at 11: 50pm I was called by one of the house Drs to admit myself ASAP. My issue was I was in such shock I heard half the conversation. I called back and spoke to Lynn Shirkie on switchboard who could not locate who I meant as I wasn’t sure if his exact name but when I said this she would not give up until she found him and by doing so she quite literally saved my life as I could then talk to him and go through everything and I want to recognise and thank her so much for the enormous effort she made at such an early hour of the morning.

Thank you for your post and my apologies it has taken so long to respond.

I have shared your post with Lyn directly. I am glad she was able to assist you at what must have been a very frightening and anxious time

I hope you are making a good recovery.

Best Wishes

Laura
