"Progressing with Visualisation Online Course"

About: Inclusion Recovery College Thurrock

(as a staff member),

I found the course really relaxing having attended several sessions of the regular Visualisation course. It was going a step further and I loved the addition of the 5 senses at the start of the session with breathing exercise which helped me to really relax. I loved it! Thank you.

Thank you so much for your feedback. This was the pilot run of the Progressing with Visualisations: The Ocean workshop - a follow on to the original Visualisation for Relaxation.

It's been lovely to have such great feedback about this pilot workshop and we really appreciate that you took the time to share your experience. So glad you found the workshop relaxing and enjoyed the 5 senses mini activity.

Connecting with our senses - what we can see, feel, hear, smell and taste - can be a lovely way to ground us in the moment and help us to be mindful. It is a nice way to prepare for a longer meditation or visualisation practice too. We also spoke about another mini activity (the tree) that we're hoping to try on the next run of this workshop.

You might like to look at the Recovery College's magazine, Experience Stories & Well-being, for more ideas around engaging with mindfulness. Edition 9 was a special, creative edition, with resources and information about Recovery College courses, that could be of interest to anyone who has found visualisations relaxing.

Thanks so much for being a part of shaping this workshop and take care.
