My daughter and i were referred to Walsgrove Rheum after disastrous years at Leics Royal Rheum, which resulted in the NHS medical Ombudsman getting involved
We ( I ) had my 1st appointment Aug 2019 which i was very impressed, had consultation with top consultant, Ultra sound, blood tests, X-ray and further consultation saying about getting me on biological Anti-tnf, was i impressed.
After 14 month ive had no treatment, promised appointments never happening, blood forms never arriving after after i phoned,
I seen the Rheum nurse which went well, chest X-ray and blood tests arranged and told would commence on Anti-tnf within a week of X-ray and test,
I had the X-ray and tests on 5th October 2020, I phoned Rheum on 19th Oct as i hadnt heard anything about treatment, no answer so left a message, and was very surprised to recieve an appointment for 17th Dec 2020,
What happened to the arranged treatment
That will mean 16 month with no treatment,
It feels that no one knows what is happening and they dish out the appointments to appese patients without looking into the arranged treatment
Unless we get answers we are going to ask to be discharged and will remain on steroids which i have been on for the last 27 years
