I have had to attend 3 times over 3 months for different endoscopic procedures and each time felt quite anxious but on every occasion I was put at ease by the clinical staff and given excellent care. The endoscopist had a great sense of humour and even made me laugh! This helped to reduce my anxiety too. Despite a couple of admin errors (my letter said to go to Boston when I had been told it would be at Louth) and also me having to chase up my results from the initial procedure 5 weeks later, I can't really fault the care I received. From having no letters to then getting 3 copies in the post was quite amusing. I fully appreciate the extra stresses that all NHS workers are under due to covid and their professionalism and dedication despite that. I also appreciate the fact that I was seen so quickly after my referral.
