I’d just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped save my dads life.
My dad has MS and is very dependant on myself and my sister. He lives with my sister as she is his full time carer and I see him every evening to help get him in to bed amongst other things. It’s not easy at times but we cope perfectly as he needs us and we would do anything for him to help him live his life to full.
Two weeks ago he was admitted into hospital, by two amazing paramedics. He was then transferred to AMU. On Tuesday 13th October we were called by HDU consultant Dr Pandit as our dad had taken a turn for the worse and asked to go in to hospital.
Due to covid we feared the worst, we thought we’d lose our rock. Dr Pandit had already saved our dads life four times and he told us he’d do everything he could do to save him again, very reassuring.
He was transferred to HDU where their care, treatment and hard working ethic saved our dads life for the fifth time. We kept calling regularly and they were so accommodating to keep us updated. They rang us regularly to give us updates. With covid we weren’t able too see him but we never felt out the loop.
I cannot thank everyone on HDU enough for saving him. He’s back home today, and looks far better than when he went in, he’s even grown a moustache for good measure haha!
Please pass this on to everyone on HDU, the consultants who’ve helped him and Dr Pandit.
