It’s impossible to get an appt for basics like standard blood tests if you work. The staff make you feel like you are being difficult because their appointments are so inflexible. When you try to ring you have to wait ages on the phone and then when they connect to you, they cut you off. So you have to go back through the same infuriating hanging on in a que all over again. They’ve removed their online appointment booking services so you’re forced to ring. It used to be a lovely family kind and helpful practise. It’s terrible now. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I am so sorry you have not been happy with the service provided. I am unclear why you have been unable to book a blood test as we do offer early weekday morning and Saturday morning phlebotomy appointments. In March 20, NHS England advised practices to pause some routine tests and care due to the coronavirus pandemic and now this routine care is being resumed, it has let to a pressure upon or blood testing capacity. We have tried to ease this by arranging additional phlebotomy capacity when we can.

We are aware that the telephone lines are very busy and again this is largely attributable to the current coronavirus situation. In order to minimise footfall into the practice, all patient requests for appointments are being assessed by a clinician prior to booking and this is putting pressure on our telephone systems. Similarly, on-line booking has been temporarily suspended (as per NHS England guidance) in order to protect patients and staff from potential exposure to the virus. As a practice we do value on-line booking very much and look forward to activating this once again soon when we are permitted and able to.
