"Flu vaccination"

About: NHS Lanarkshire

(as a service user),

I received a letter for a flu vaccination appointment.

My appointment was for 11.30 am.

My post was delivered at 14.50 pm that same day

I tried phoning the number given on the letter.  It was constantly engaged.

Disbelief! Frustration!

Dear Nosila

Thank you for your correspondence.

We know a number of patients have received their letter after their scheduled appointment and would like to apologise for the frustration this has caused. There have been issues with the national appointment and postal system which are being resolved.

I am also sorry to hear you have called the number numerous times and haven’t managed to speak to a call handler to rearrange your flu immunisation appointment.

Due to the large volume of calls, we have increased the number of call handlers on our rebooking line to manage call demand.

I hope you have now managed to reschedule your appointment via the rebooking line.

Regards

Maureen
