"Ambulance service"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

Contacted ambulance service as my husband was having chest pain. Call operator was very clear and concise with his questions. Paramedics Kirsty and Mark were very professional. They explained everything to my husband and I as they were carrying out ECG and observations.   They made us feel at ease.   They explained to my husband and I he was having a heart attack and needed to go to hospital for treatment. They administered drugs to help him and took my him to the hospital and he is doing very well.

Would just like to say a big thank you to Kirsty and Mark.   Thanks, guys.

Dear Piglet271

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read that your husband has suffered a heart attack. That must have been terrifying for both of you. I am however really pleased to read that he is doing very well. It is amazing what the doctors and nurses can do in the Coronary Care Units.

I am also very pleased to read about the care that was shown by the crew, and the manner in which the call handler managed the 999 call. It would appear that you and your husbands journey, whilst scary, has been as positive as it could have been.

I would really like to locate the call handler, and the Kirsty and Mark so I can pass on your thanks. In order to do this I would require a few details to find the job on the system, specifically, the date, time and address in which we attended your husband as well as his name. If you would like for this to happen you can email these details to sas.feedback@nhs.scot.

I would be also very grateful if you could make reference to your CareOpinion username as if it is not myself who picks it up, they will easily be able to link it to this post.

Please pass on my well wishes to your husband and I wish you both the very best.

Kind Regards

Alan
